Husain Al Musallam, President of the world swimming governing body (FINA), is in Rwanda for an official two-day working visit. Al Musallam arrived in Kigali on Wednesday, March 16, and held talks with sports minister Aurore Mimosa Munyangaju, local Olympic committee president Theo Uwayo and Pamela Girimbabazi, president of the Rwanda Swimming Federation. Rwanda has over the years produced notable swimmers such as Eloi Imaniraguha, Johanna Umurungi, Alphonsine Agahozo, Isiaka Irankunda and Jackson Niyomugabo who competed in major world competitions including Olympic Games and the All-Africa Games.
