October 4 AS Kigali vs APR October 5 Gasogi United vs Rayon Sports Bugesera vs Heroes Etincelles vs SC Kiyovu Mukura vs Espoir October 6 Marines vs Gicumbi AS Muhanga vs Musanze Police vs Sunrise APR will take on Peace Cup holders AS Kigali in the opening match of the 2019/20 Rwanda Premier League on October 4 at Kigali Stadium. Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) on Monday released the fixtures for the forthcoming 2019/20 where the defending champions Rayon Sports will be up against league newcomers, Gasogi United. The fixtures revealed only cater for the first round which runs from October to December 2019. Defending champions Rayon Sports will begin their title defense away to newly-promoted side Gasogi United on October 5 The other games scheduled on matchday one include Bugesera hosting Heroes at Bugesera Stadium, Etincelles FC will take on SC Kiyovu at Stade Umuganda, Mukura VS will play Espoir FC. On October 6, Marines Fc hosts Gicumbi at Umuganda Stadium while Musanze will be away to AS Muhanga with Sunrise will take on Police. Ferwafa, the national governing football body has asked Gicumbi, Sunrise, Musanze, and Espoir to seek alternative home grounds for their home matches. They will be free to return to their initial venues if the standards asked by the FERWAFA licensing board are met. The 2019/2020 Rwanda Premier League Season is scheduled to end on May 23, 2020. Meanwhile, the 2019 Super Cup match will see Rwanda Premier League champions, Rayon Sports take on Peace Cup holders AS Kigali on October 1 at Amahoro Stadium. editor@newtimesrwanda.com
