Friday All-Star Game Team Aristide 83-89 Team Guibert DIEUDONNÉ Ndizeye has been crowned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the 2018/2019 BK Basketball National League season. Ndizeye, a star forward for two-time reigning champions Patriots, beat out his teammate Steven Hagumintwari, APR shooting guard Pascal Niyonkuru and former Espoir youngster Armel Sangwe to the coveted award. The new MVP, Ndizeye, 24, takes over the reigns from his teammate Sedar Sagamba who clinched the award last year. APR guard Sandra Akintore was named the MVP in women’s category, while her teammate Charlotte Nzaramba took the award for best scorer of the season, an accolade that went to Pascal Niyonkuru in the men’s awards. In the meantime, Team Guibert ran 89-83 winners over Team Aristide in the All-Star Game. Moise Mutokambali won the award for the best coach in womens league. On top of the MVP award, Dieudonne Ndizeye also won the slam dunk contest. APR star Sandra Kantore was awarded as the MVP in womens category. Team Guibert beat Team Aristide 89-83 to win the All-Star Game at Kigali Arena.
