President Paul Kagame has appointed Alfred Gasana as the new Minister of Interior, according to a statement signed by Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente. Prior to his appointment, Gasana was the Director General in charge of Internal Security at NISS (National Intelligence and Security Services) He will now lead the ministry which has been newly re-established. Internal Security docket was put under the Ministry of Justice after former Minister General Patrick Nyamvumba was dropped.
