Rwanda on Sunday, December 20, reported four new Covid-19 deaths, raising the tally of the countrys Covid-19 fatalities to 63. The deceased include two women aged 47 and 63 respectively and were living in Kigali. The others were men aged 52 and 68 and were recorded in Rubavu District. This is the highest number of daily Covid-19 cases recorded by Rwanda since the time when the pandemic hit the country back in Mid-March. Meanwhile, on Sunday, out of 3,545 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours, 61 people tested positive for Covid-19. Of the new cases, six were detected in Kigali, 25 in Rubavu district, 13 in Muhanga district, nine in Huye district, four in Musanze district, two in Gakenke district, and a single Covid-19 identified in Kirehe and Nyanza districts each. Overall, Rwanda so far has 7,293 confirmed cases, of whom 6,091 have already recovered.
