Editor,This is with reference to Stephen Mugisha’s article, “Are our local schools giving way to international ones?” published in The New Times issue of November 5.I thank the author for this thoughtful piece. I learnt a thing or two. However, I also know that the world is fast becoming a global village.And that mean that our children need to be competitive globally. As such, it won’t lead us anywhere to confine ourselves to what we are comfortable with in Rwanda or Africa in general.In any case, which of the two systems is Rwandan? Both are foreign only that one is the latest to arrive.John M, Kigali
