Rwandan defender Salomon Nirisarike has inked a one-year deal with Belgian third tier club KVK Tienen. Nirisarike, 30, joins the Belgian club as a free agent after he was released by Armenian outfit Urartu FC in the summer of 2022. ALSO READ: Armenian club release Rwandan defender Salomon Nirisarike The experienced centre back, who previously excelled with Belgian third clubs including Royal Antwerp and Tubize, is expected to make a good impact as Tienen hopes to qualify to the Challenger League next season. ALSO READ: Where did it all go wrong for Nirisarike After over a year without a club, the Rwanda international will have to work hard to become an important player at the back for manager Bart Vanhoudt whose team had a leaky defense during the 2022/23 season and hence finished 12th in the table. Nirisarike had an offer in Iraq in the January 2023 transfer window but he rejected the move as he was not interested in playing for the club.
