In the midst of illness, when the weight of uncertainty and physical discomfort bore down heavily, a song titled ‘Amateka’ emerged as a manifestation of gospel singer Emmy Vox’s emotional and spiritual experience. In a gesture of profound gratitude and recognition, the artiste made the decision to not only title the song ‘Amateka’ but also to extend this sentiment to his upcoming debut concert scheduled for September 1, at Camp Kigali. Real name Emmanuel Sibomana, the 23-year-old revealed that his debut album is an expression of his heartfelt appreciation for the achievements and milestones that have led them to this moment. It is also a symbol of gratitude towards God for guiding him through the illness and inspiring his creative journey. The gospel singer will headline his debut concert alongside famous gospel singers Israel Mbonyi, Bosco Nshuti and True Promises Ministries. Talking to The New Times, Emmy revealed that the decision to plan a concert was in response to fans' constant demands and the encouragement of God, who gave him the confidence to take on the endeavor. “It was last year when I finally decided to organise my first concert and enjoy my live music with my fans,” said Emmy. The singer stressed that the inspiration behind ‘Amateka Live Concert’ was from his well-known song released two years ago dubbed ‘Amateka’ which exalts God and has unique meaning for the singer based on a true story of what he was going through at the time. “God gifted me this song while I was going through a hard time of illness; He told me that he is a God that changes history. I saw God during those hard times and now I want to give thanks to him through praise and worship at my debut concert.
