Christ’s Church Rwanda (CCR) is set to host this year’s leadership workshop, the Global Leadership Summit. The two-day event offers high-powered leadership training based on mainstream business practices and Christian principles. It will be held under the theme “Lead where you are”, and targets anyone leading in church, business, government, education, non-government organisations or in the home.“This is the first year the summit will be held in Rwanda and we are honoured to be able to serve as the host site,” said Senior Pastor Brett Shreck, Christ’s Church Rwanda (CCR), Gacuriro.“As a church we have a vision to develop and inspire Christian leaders. We jumped at the opportunity to organise this event because it provided an affordable way to bring exceptional leadership training to Kigali.” The summit has been an international event since 2005.Two decade summit More than 170,000 leaders in more than 300 cities across 92 countries will have the opportunity to watch some of the recorded messages from a diverse group of speakers in 42 different languages. Willow Creek Association’s Global Leadership Summit started over 20 years ago with a mission to transform all Christian leaders around the world.Steve Bell, executive vice president of Willow Creek Association, said, “We have a conviction that leaders want to keep getting better. So we’re designing this to provide some vision, encouragement and skill development for someone who wants to be a better leader.”The summit opens tomorrow.
