Getting dumped for not ‘giving it up’?

Men are strange; I will always insist on that - I don’t care how complex they think the female species is. When a guy spots a woman he likes, he will literally go out of his way to get her. After dating a while, he probably gets a premonition about what is to come and doesn’t like what he sees, so what does he do? Instead of giving the chick the same courtesy he gave her when they met, he chooses to end the liaison by text! Personally, I have never been dumped via text; if that happened, trust me, they’d still be looking for the dude’s body! However, I do know a few unfortunate souls that have had guys come into their lives like Prince Charming then exit like professional cowards. And why? Because the lid on the cookie jar didn’t show promise of ever coming off. This one girl, after dodging a guy for almost two years, decided to finally give him a go. How sweet he seemed. He picked her up from work and dropped her home every evening. He took her out for fancy dinners and late night ice cream treats. I think he did everything but sing her a lullaby before she went to bed – and had she asked him to, I’m guessing he would have. Hear me now; whatever ‘generosity’ this guy thought she would unleash after pampering her was simply taking too long. He now started asking for what he believed he was entitled to. At first it seemed cute -at least that’s what she said – then it became downright annoying! “I will ‘give you’ when I’m ready!” were her exact words the last time he tried to forcefully spend a night. The man neither had the patience nor the desire to sit around and wait for ‘goods’ that might damn near turn out to be a disaster. So he did what only a true rogue can do and texted her the next day saying ‘he couldn’t do it anymore’! She called to ask what he meant by that statement but he showed her another hard move and rejected her call. He texted again apologising for being such a disappointment and that she was better off without him. She cried for exactly two minutes, then proceeded to assure him that it was good she hadn’t ‘given’ him anything and that he was free to go get ‘the goods’ elsewhere. I don’t know what spirit told him that it was good idea to tell her that ‘her goods’ were probably not that great and that it was also good he left before getting them. This girl became a typing machine – she sent text after text of heavy insults. He wasn’t moved. He sent back hahahah’s and lol’s which pissed her off even more. She finally sent her last text, telling him to go slip into something more comfortable – a coma perhaps! For her, she wasn’t just stringing him along. She actually liked the guy. And she thought he liked her enough to wait for when she was comfortably ready to ‘give him some’. But what she wasn’t told is not all guys have that patience. Some will wait…and some…well, that’s just asking for too much. In his defense, he had been good to her, at least he believed so. What was she doing telling him to wait for sex as if she wasn’t accepting the things he gave her? Chicks can also be strange. I mean if you are going to enjoy the fancy outings he pays for and the small gifts he drops at your place every time he shows up, surely it shouldn’t come as a shock when he demands for some physical gratitude! It’s only fair sometimes.
