As investors were trying to determine Uchumi Supermarket’s value at the Rwanda Stock Exchange yesterday, Bralirwa’s share price shed Rwf5 to close at Rwf840 compared to last Monday’s Rwf845.The Rwanda Stock Exchange Share Index also dropped 1.01 points to close at 216.88 points compared to 217.89 points the previous Monday.The total bourse turnover was Rwf7.2m from 32,300 Bank of Kigali, 800 Bralirwa and 3,600 Uchumi Supermarket shares traded in nine deals compared to Rwf21.7m recorded last Monday from 103,400 Bank of Kigali and 3,600 Bralirwa shares traded in five deals last Monday.Bank of Kigali shares closed at Rwf180, unchanged from last Monday’s closing price, whereas Bralirwa counter traded at Rwf840.Uchumi counter traded and closed at Rwf175, while Kenya Commercial Bank and Nation Media Group shares last transacted at Rwf175 and Rwf1,200, respectively.At the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding bids of 430,000 Bank of Kigali shares between Rwf179 and Rwf180 and outstanding offers of 350,800 shares at between Rwf 183 and 196. On the Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 1,270,800 shares between Rwf841 and Rwf890 and no outstanding bids. On Kenya Commercial Bank counter; there was an outstanding bid of 5,000 shares at Rwf180 no outstanding offers. On Uchumi counter, there was an outstanding offer for 40,000 shares at Rwf178 and no buyers.
