Editor,Better late than never; the struggle continues – organising any professional body has not been easy everywhere in the world and of course Rwanda is not exceptional. We have been receiving these reactions and we know there are more others that are coming but we will not give up.There are many that are very biased about the engineering profession getting organised because they may be benefiting from the chaotic situation. It is unfortunate that most of those who are complaining are not members of the institution, and it is even more unfortunate that they will not participate in the general assembly to forward their views. To their surprise, the general assembly may decide to increase the fees even higher basing on the needs of the institution.I finally ask those who have started the journey to organise their profession to be even stronger. There are three types of people in this world: Those who make things happen; those who watch things happen; and those who wonder what happened. I am glad you make things happen.Dismas Nkubana, Chairman Rwanda Engineering CouncilReaction to the story, “Engineers bemoan regulator member subscription fee”, (The New Times, October 8)
