The Rwanda Rugby Federation (RRF) Secretary General Celestin Nzaramba has resigned from his post after two years in service, Times Sport has learnt. Nzaramba attributed his resignation to both the Sports Ministry and the federation’s lack of commitment. Speaking to Times Sport, Nzaramba said, “While in office as a Secretary General, I tirelessly worked in collaboration with other respective committee members but the fact that they failed to fulfil their objectives, forced me to quit.” “There is no way a sport federation can work without the assistance of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sport. The Ministry has really neglected rugby and there is no way we can develop the sport in the country without their support,” Nzaramba said, adding that working as an administrator under those conditions was not good thus quitting was the best alternative. Though Nzaramba has resigned, he remains the president and a key player of Simba rugby club. Ends
