Rwanda Football Federation has turned down the invitation by their Philippine counterparts, Football Federation (PFF) to take part in the 2013 Philippine Peace Cup tournament.Ferwafa chairman Celestin Abegga Ntugungira told Times Sport yesterday that taking part in this tournament was not the ideal preparation for Amavubi ahead of the 2013 Cecafa Challenge Cup to be held in Nairobi, Kenya.“We will try to secure friendly matches with other African teams that would help put the team in good shape ahead of competing in the Senior Challenge Cup,” reasoned Ntagungira.Initially, the second edition of the three-day four-national tournament is expected to be staged from October 11 to 15 in Bacolod City. But with Rwanda and Uganda out for different reasons, the Philippine Football Federation has been left with no choice but to reduce the field to just three from a planned four teams.
