Top seed Jean Claude Gasigwa goes into the clash against his close friend and archrival Dieudonne Habiyambere fresh from winning a record seventh ITF Money Circuit title on Friday. Habiyambere, who was beaten in the semi-final of the regional tournament by Uganda’s David Oringa, reached the Nyarutarama Open final after edging out sixth-seeded Olivier Havugimana in two straight sets 6-4, 6-1. Favorite Gasigwa also won in straight sets 6-2, 7-6 over seed three Olivier Nkunda in semi-finals. In an interview with Sunday Sport, Habiyambere said,” it is going to be a tough final for me as I will be playing the number one and I have to play my best tennis if I am to have an chance.”
