Ghanaian recording artiste Edem is set to grace the We Are One Beach Party at Tam Tam Beach Restaurant on Saturday, August 3. The ‘Lorlortor’ singer will perform alongside Uganda’s Dancehall star, AK47. The artistes, who will be jetting into town on Friday, are said to have reserved the best for Rwandans as they aim to set the stage alight with their hit songs. The duo will be joined by local renowned rapper, Jay Polly. “Rubavu residents and all music fans should get ready for this Saturday because it’s going to be extraordinary,” said Jay Polly. The artistes have promised to wow party goers with something old, something current and something brand new. Jay Polly said that he will capitalise on the opportunity by delivering a great performance to leave a lasting impression. Renowned DJs Nruff (Kenya), Biggy (South Africa), DJ Africano will be performing at the party alongside homeboy DJ Shalif. The occasion will also give the revellers a chance to get a yacht riding through L. Kivu in the afternoon before the real party kicks off. Entrance fee to the party is Rwf5000. Edem, born Denning Edem Agbeviadey, rose to fame with the release of his maiden album, “The Volta Regime” in 2008, which has songs like the hit ‘U dey craze’, ‘Bra fremi fremi’, ’ Nyornuviade’, ‘Give it up’, ‘Emmre Sesa’ and ‘Lorlortor’. AK 47 is a Ugandan Dancehall musician, who comes from a well established music family. Singers Dr Jose Chameleone and Goodlyf’s Weasel are his brothers.
