Editor,I just read Paul Ntambara’s commentary, “Why Rwanda is and remains in the news”, published in The New Times edition of July 26 and I must say that I’ve been very impressed by what I’ve seen in Rwanda. I’m a tourist from Italy, I have been here [in Rwanda] for a week visiting all the classic tourist destinations but I came after preparing for four years, reading many books about the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, as well as President Kagame’s amazing job at rebuilding the country. Still, even my already high expectations were surpassed by what I’ve seen in person: A country that has moved on, modern, with great roads, clean cities, and fantastic people.I hope more people will come to visit Rwanda as it should be on top of everyone’s travel plans. Congratulations to the people of Rwanda.Massimo Oriani, Milano, Italy
