A second episode screening of the film ‘Ikigeragezo Cy’Ubuzima’, has been projected for a VIP launch at Prime Holding Hall near the Prime Minister’s office in Kimihurura. It is the second time the film has been projected for a public consumption following its premier screening that took place last weekend at the Jali Club. With a smile on his face film director Patrick Kamanzi, told The New Times that Shilo Cinema Production (SCP), which has reserved its copyrights, produced the film. Both first and second episodes were produced, shot and acted by Rwandans. A Rwandan film production company SCP produces films in Kinyarwanda, aiming at developing and promoting Rwanda’s values and fear of God for HIS omnipotence. At least Frw25 Million has been spent in making the two episodes produced so far, according to Kamanzi the film director. “Some percentages of the money used in producing the two episodes are contributions from friends and loans”, Kamanzi said. The second episode of Ikigeragezo cy’ubuzima was better shot and acted as compared to the first episode. Anita Mukanyangezi one of the fans who watched the film at its premier screening, said that, actors had gained more experience than in the first episode. Another fan Diana Kayitesi told The New Times that, she realized Rwanda has a lot of unexploited potential in the film industry. The Rwanda Cinema Centre also introduced the Rwanda Film Festival and trainings to improve film production in Rwanda. Ends
