Editor, Its really a shame to see how officials decided to erect an Eiffel Tower and Atomium-like structure on a state-owned building. What “agaciro (self-dignity)” is really there? I cant imagine what the decision-makers were thinking while choosing yet there were plenty of other options. What value does this give to Rwandans, posing such a structure on the tallest building of the country? I can also say that its rare to see a Rwandan name on Kigali buildings... Why? Do people see value in other languages other than their own? I dont even see why we are still giving foreign names to our children. Anyway, its a question of mentality, and debate on this very question should be kicked off to discuss this crucial issue which is in part the negation of our own identity.
