Peas, groundnuts prices shoot up

Peas and groundnuts prices have gone up by Rwf50 and Rwf100, respectively, in all the major markets in Kigali. According to a mini-survey conducted by Business Times, a kilogramme of fresh peas costs Rwf1,250, up from Rwf1,200 and that of groundnuts goes for Rwf1,200 from Rwf1,100 in Kimironko and Nyabugogo markets. This comes at a time when farmers are preparing for the planting season.
