Miss Kigali, a good Samaritan Miss Kigali wants to use her status to advocate for disabled children. The eighteen-year-old Cynthia Akazuba is rumoured to be busy working on a project which will be fight for the rights of disabled children, especially in the city of Kigali. Despite her busy schedule with studies, a senior five Lycée de Kigali student is reported to be spending sleepless nights drafting a project, which she is soon to present to the city council for approval. “It makes me feel unhappy whenever I see the conditions these children live in. I ought to do something in my capacity to advocate for them,” Akazuba was heard saying. Akazuba was crowned Miss Kigali 2007 by the First Lady Jeannette Kagame, in November last year at a function held at Jali Club. Drama at B-Club This was really an embarrassment! Word reaching us is that a babe only identified as Sylvia embarrassed her long-term boyfriend, Martin, at B-club’s bar when she accused him of cheating on her. Snoops say Sylvia threw a glass of beer into her boyfriend’s face and spat on him. We hear that it all started when Martin left Sylvia in the bar to sit outside with a certain chic. When Sylvia found out she went berserk and started sending him messages. Michael ignored the messages and she became suspicious. Scouts have it that after such a shock and total shame, Martin sneaked out of the bar and disappeared. Magic System to rock Kigali We have discovered that Ivory Coast group, Magic System, will perform at the Pan African Dance Festival (Fespad). The rumour is that the band was chosen especially because of their first hit ‘Premier Gaou’, which is receiving massive airplay on Rwanda’s radio stations and in nightclubs.
