Trust me, no one fixated in this habit likes it. People who bite their fingernails are also more susceptible to peeling the nails or cutaneous membranes around the nails. It looks sordid, I tell you. Worse is when one begins to bleed in public.As bad as it sounds, I ‘googled’ this topic just for fun and found some angry troller saying biting fingernails in public is as bad as licking toilet seat. Now, you might expect me to rant here, but today, I’ll practice double-standards because... yes, I don’t want to rant at myself. These things just happen on impulse. It’s like a puff or imbibing alcohol, and it’s all about purging excess emotional energy such as tension. One can also end up in it due to boredom.A friend, a television news anchor, often fights the urge to bite her fingernails even while live on air. Fingernail biting is widespread, yes, but doing it in public is nauseating and can upset those around you. The guys who do it probably spend the most of their reflection moments trying hard to figure ways of winning the battle against this fixation. Whoever has the clues to win this battle can volunteer.
