Upcoming rapper, Ciney has challenged women and girls to desist from over relying on their husbands or parents, saying that it’s a bad culture.“In my opinion, a woman should manage her family as well as have her own career, because working is a way for a woman to achieve higher social status, command her respect and improve herself,” said Ciney. “Unfortunately, some women and girls are just lazy and despise most jobs. Such an attitude has hindered many from becoming independent and self-reliant women.”In her latest single “Igire”, the rapper urges Rwandan women and girls to develop the culture of working to be able to meet their financial needs.The “Nkunda” star, told The New Times: “If there’s one thing I want people to get from this song, it’s for women to become independent and self-reliant--that’s all I want.”“We can no longer afford to continue relying on men’s assistance and handouts to feed ourselves, yet we have hands. We need to work hard and become self-reliant.”The “Igire” song was produced by producer Trackslayer.The 21-year-old also confirmed that she is working on her debut album and hopes to launch it next month.Ciney, real name Aisha Uwimana was born in Gabon but raised in Rwanda. She is an outstanding upcoming rapper with a unique touch to her music.She started her music career in 2010 with her first audio track titled, “Game of Love” featuring Paccy, Knowless and D. Pink. She followed it with various tracks including, “High School”, “Ndabaga 1” and “Ngwino Nkwereke.
