For us, the race for the title is still very much wide open,” Gicumbi’s head coach Ebenezel Murenzi told Times Sport. He added, “We want to win this year’s league title and are determined to give everything possible to make it happen. We last won the league in 2008, and, for us, five years without winning it (league) is too long and we’re determined to bring it to an end.”The match between Police and National University of Rwanda (NUR) did not take place due to unavailability of NUR student-players, who were preparing for examinations.Elsewhere, former champions APR drew 26-26 with the 2013 Inter-school champions Ecole Secondaire Kigoma. Police and Gicumbi are tied on 21 points but Police are top courtesy of a better goal difference (7) over Gicumbi.
