Third place playoffAPR vs Bugesera 1pmFinalAS Kigali vs AS muhanga 3pmRwanda football governing body have made slight change to this year’s Peace Cup against Malaria final, pushing it from July 4 to July 6 at Amahoro National Stadium.The changes were agreed upon after a meeting between the organisers, Ferwafa, the Ministry of Sports and Culture as well as sponsors, Imbuto Foundation.Ferwafa’s Public Relations’ Officer, Olivier Niyongabo told Saturday Sport that the decision to postpone the final was reached at due to APR’s unavailability as the team is currently taking part in the Cecafa Kagame Cup in Darfur where it has reached the final slated for Monday, July 1.The army side which has the Peace Cup a record seven times will play against second division side Bugesera FC in the third place play-off match, while AS Kigali will faceoff AS muhanga in the final. APR was seen-off by AS Kigali on penalties and Muhanga brushed aside Bugesera 2-1 in the semi-finals. Peace Cup holders, APR and the league champions, Rayon sports, are expected to land at the Kigali international airport from Sudan on July 4, two days before the rescheduled final.The winner of the competition will pocket Rwf10million; the first runner-up walk away with Rwf7milliion, the second and third runner-up will each receive Rwf 5million and Rwf 3million respectively.Imbuto foundation sponsored this year’s Peace cup tournament to the tune of Rwf 97million.
