Ruhumuriza 3h48’44” (Cine Elmay)Benediction cycling club riders dominated the national championship first round race on Sunday by sweeping the top four positions.Gasore Hategeka won the 29km race, which started from Huye in the Southern Province and finished at Stade de Kigali, Nyamirambo. The 26 year-old clocked 3h45’54” ahead of a strong field that included all the top Team Rwanda riders.His teammate Bonaventure Uwizeyimana came in second in a time of 3h46’53”, Nathan Byukusenge was on third position after clocking 3h47’52”, while the 22-year old Janvier Hadi came in fourth position after he clocking 3h48’44”.Cine Elmay veteran rider Abraham Ruhumuriza came fifth position after clocking 3h48’44” and youngster Valens Ndayisenga, who won the one-day competition organised by the local cycling federation in partnership with Rwanda Biometrical Centre on Saturday, finished 13th in a time of 3h49’23”.The two youngest riders in the race, Thomas Muyoboke and Thomas Muyoboke, both 16 year old and riding for Fly Club, finished on 24th and 25th positions with a time of 4h20’07” and 4h23’53” respectively.
