Gisagara and Gahini Secondary School lead the Goal ball national championship after 8 rounds of matches.Gahini have picked maximum points against Nyarugenge 13-3, and Bugesera 9-4, Rwamagana 16-8, Gisagara 11-2 and National University of Rwanda 12-2 in the second round, in the first round, the student side beat Musanze 13-3 and lost one game against Gisagara 11-6.As for Gisagara, they have won against Bugesera 11-3, Rwamagana 13-8, Gahini 11-6 in first round, they also beat Musanze 10-1, Bugesera 11-2, and Nyarugenge 13-3 to stay on second position on goal difference.Gahini top the seven-team table standing with 21 points having scored 53 goals, Gisagara is in second position with 21 and 38 goals, Rwamagana are in third positions with goals 13 points and 37 goals.National University of Rwanda occupy fourth spot with 12 points, Musanze has 10 points, Nyarugenge with four points, while Bugesera sit bottom with just a single point from eight matches.The teams will play the third round matches this coming weekend and the winner will walk away with Rfw150, 000 in cash prize on top of the trophy.The league is sponsored with Voluntary Services overseas, National Council of People with Disabilities, National Union of Disabilities Organization in Rwanda, National Paralympics Committee, Petrocom, Orinfor and The New Times.
