The highly anticipated Hill Festival, which is coming to Kigali for the first time, has announced the long line-up of artistes, DJs and MCs that will perform at the show slated for August 4-5. The lineup include rapper and lyricist Kivumbi King, Bulldogg, Michaela Rabitsch, Bushali, DJ Willy William, Truth Hurts, Inner Circle, Chriss Eazy, Kenny Sol, Ruti Joel, Alta Ouses, Invasion Sound, Intayoberana and Inyamibwa. Others to grace the show include Burundian star Big Fizzo, Michaela Rabitsch & Robert Pawlik Quartet, Ramond & DJ Zenas, Riderman, Yvan Muziki , DJ King Kalim, DJ Ira and DJ Sonia. DJ Bisoso will be on the decks entertaining the crowd while The Keza and Lion Manzi will be the event’s hosts. Abdoul Ndikumana, the brains behind the festival, told The New Times that music enthusiasts in Kigali should expect a spectacular music experience from the festival and that almost all the artistes have already started preps and ready to fly to Kigali soon. “The reason for Hill Festival is to promote Rwanda through music and its culture that many people around the world find unique. As Rwandans, it is good for us to showcase our culture and let people know more about the richness of our country,” Ndikumana said. Other activities, he added, will include promoting and showcasing Made in Rwanda products during the festival, as well as creating an environment for kids to also have fun at the festival.
