Rwanda Cricket Association (RCA) will visit to the Ntarama Memorial Ground on Saturday June 15, General Manager Joshua Mwanja has confirmed.The tour is in line with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Sports and Culture urging all national sports federations to organise events to remember the sportsmen and women, who were killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.According to Mwanja, they will also visit a nearby orphanage which has a population of 150 boys and girls aged between 15 and 30.“We invite all the cricket fraternity to join us. We will depart from the RCA offices at 1pm; this event is to commemorate the sportsmen and women, who were killed during the Genocide against Tutsi,” the former Ugandan international told Times Sport.He noted that among the activities, will be the Tour of the memorial centre, speeches from survivors in the cricket fraternity, Introduce and play cricket with the boys & girls, charity and giving gifts.“At the end of the day we shall give gifts to the kids. Proposed gifts include food stuffs, clothing, scholastic materials, groceries etc,” he noted.
