Rwanda’s Primus League champions Rayon Sports and Peace Cup finalists La Jeunesse will lock horns in this year’s Genocide memorial tournament after edging Mukura and Police FC respectively. In yesterday’s knock-out stage, Rayon Sports defeated Mukura 2-1 at Amahoro stadium, while Police FC were eliminated by La Jeunesse on penalties (5-4) after a goalless draw. Kambale Salita and Jimmy Mwiseneza scored Rayon Sports’ goals, while Gabrile Mugabo snatched the consolation goal for Mukura. Rayon Sports will now face La Jeunesse in the finals set for June 8 at Amahoro stadium. The 2013 Football Genocide Memorial tournament was organised by Rwanda Football Federation in conjunction with Commission for the Fight against Genocide (CNLG).
