Rwanda Basketball Federation has postponed the national basketball league to June 15.The development was confirmed by the Rwanda Basketball Federation’s Secretary General Richard Mutabazi.He said initially, the league was expected to start today but since all teams have not finished registration, a decision was taken to postpone the league to mid June.“We only have a few teams that have registered and we have given the other teams a grace period of fifteen days such that they can respond,” Mutabazi said.Defending champion Espoir, second-placed APR, Rusizi basketball, United Generation and newcomers Gisenyi Basketball Club are the only teams that have registered to compete in the men’s league.In women’s league, Ubumwe is the only team that has registered. In last season’s edition, the men’s league was made of eight teams while four clubs only featured in the women’s league.
