FORMER SC Kiyovu and Atraco winger Joseph Kabagambe is on the verge of making a return to professional football in Sudan after agreeing personal terms with Merriekh El- Fasher.Merreikh El Fasher is placed in Group A alongside Rwandan champions APR, Tanzania’s SC Simba and Somalia’s Elman in the two-week long Cecafa/Kagame Club Cup championship due to be held in Northern Darfur and South Kordofan.The winger who spent last season at Kiira Youngwas in Khartoum this week to agree with club officials.“I am yet to sign a contract but personal terms have been agreed. Both clubs have agreed on the fee as well,” Kabagambe was quoted in Ugandan media.If everything goes as planned, Kabagambe will sign a two-year contract with the club making a second stint in Sudan after playing for Al-Nil Al-Hasahesa between 2010 and 2012.Kabagambe is set to make his debut in the upcoming Cecafa Kagame Cup against Tanzania’s Simba SC in group A on June 21.Kabagambe started his career in Kabale’s Horizon based in South Western Uganda, SC Villa and Rwandan sides SC Kiyovu and Atraco FC.Merreikh El Fasher stands ninth on the Sudanese Premier League log with 17 points after playing thirteen rounds.
