Have parents left the fate of their children in the hands of maids?
With the increased number of working mothers more and more young children are being left to the care of maids at home. Although raising a child is supposed to be the responsibility of both parents, in most cases the onus is on the mother to find a way to balance work and parenting. Back in the day working couples would leave their children with their grandparents or other relatives. But this has gradually changed due to the fact that the extended family system has been replaced with the nuclear family model.
