At least seven people were arrested, yesterday, in connection with a grenade that was hurled in a home in Mutenderi sector, Ngoma district, on Sunday.No one was killed when the grenade was hurled into a family backyard, but two middle-aged women were seriously injured.The injured whose names were not readily available are currently under intensive care in Kibungo Hospital.Eastern Region Police Spokesman Benoit Nsengiyumva confirmed the arrests, saying investigations are still ongoing.“A grenade was hurled into a family home and, fortunately, there were no deaths. It could be a matter of days before we finish the screening to get the right culprits,” he said.“The motive of the attack is not yet clear, but we have information that it could have been motivated by inter-community intrigues. The suspects and the victims were not in good terms,” he added..
