A contingent of 200 police officers from Burundi Police Force arrived in the country on Sunday to undergo a peacekeeping pre-deployment orientation course. The four -month intensive course will be held at the Police Training School-based Peace Support Operation Centre in Gishari in Rwamagana District, where two Rwandan police contingents are undergoing pre-deployment training. The course is organised and conducted by RNP. The contingent, that includes 18 females, was received at the Training School by the commandant, Commissioner of Police, John Bosco Kabera, who introduced them to the course. The agreement between the two national police, forces signed in June 2011; also include joint operations, tracking down criminals, anti-GBV and exchange of best practices.
