APR, Atraco, Rayon Sport and Kiyovu all progressed to this year’s knockout championship after winning their respective quarterfinal fixtures. Atraco were the first to book their place in the last four with a comfortable 3-1 win over Kibuye at Nyamirambo stadium. Striker Abedi Mulenda (19), Peter Kagabo (30) and midfielder Jean Shyaka (55) were on target for Jean Marie Ntagwabira’s side while Frank Ngayi scored Kibuye’s last minute consolation. At the same venue, Rayon defeated AS Kigali by the same score to set up a semifinal clash with rivals Atraco.Jean Lomami bagged a brace (30, 90) and Labama Bokoto (15) were on target for Raoul Shungu’s side while Pablo Gasana scored for AS Kigali (43). Elsewhere, defending champions APR Fc set up a meeting with Kiyovu in the last four after seeing off Marines 2-0 in Ruhengeri while Kiyovu overcame Mukura 5-4 on spot-kicks after the 90 minutes had ended goalless. Midfielders Haruna Niyonzima and Jabir Mutarambirwa scored for the military side, who just like Atraco, are still in line for a double. The two semifinal fixtures are scheduled for tomorrow at Nyamirambo stadium. Atraco against Rayon will be played first and followed by APR against Kiyovu. Ends
