Rwanda’s hottest celebrities as voted by YOU!

The New Times hit the streets to discover which celebrity can be deemed ‘The hottest female in the Land of a Thousand Hills’. We showed 258 people pictures of the ten loveliest celebrities and asked them to rank them from Number One to Number Ten. Here are the results:1. Aurore Mutesi KayibandaMiss Rwanda 2012, Mutesi was selected as the hottest celebrity in the country. The survey shows the 21- year-old with the highest votes (43).Mutesi is a 2nd year student at Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), studying civil engineering. 2. Alexia Uwera MupendeUwera emerged the second in the battle of hottest female celebrity, with 34 votes. Last year, the 29-year-old won the 1st edition of the Rwandan Premier Model Competition and her plans involve becoming an international model. 3. Makeda MahadeoShe is the host of ‘The Switch’, a famous talk show on Contact FM. Makeda Mahadeo came third with 33 votes. The 26-year-old is one of most prominent female DJs in Rwanda. She is also an inspiration to many young female Rwandans after being able to survive in the ‘Djeing’ field that is mostly dominated by only men. 4. Cynthia Akazuba After being crowned the first Miss Kigali just at the age of 18 in 2007, Cynthia Akazuba went on to become Miss East Africa in 2009. According to our survey, the former Miss is the fourth hottest female celebrity, with 31 votes. 5. Knowless She is probably the hottest upcoming female musician in Rwanda’s music industry, but this study found out that Knowless wasn’t even in the best three. The 22-year-old songstress Jeanne Butera, known by her stage name Knowless, got only 23 votes to emerge the fifth hot celebrity. 6. Carine Rusaro UtamurizaDespite her good looks, the 2007 Miss National University of Rwanda (NUR), Carine Rusaro Utamuliza was voted the sixth hottest celebrity, with 21 votes. Utamuliza is currently a Senior Staff at Institute of National Museums of Rwanda (IMNR) at Natural History Museum. 7. Angel UwamahoroThe 23-year-old came to the limelight as one of the most talented actresses with Mashirika Performing Arts. According to our survey, Uwamahoro is the seventh hottest female celebrity in the country, after scoring 21 votes. 8. Miss Shanel Shanel, real name Ruth Nirere, is the eighth hottest woman, with 19 votes. The songbird/actress is currently in France, where she is pursuing a two-year music course. 9. Divine Uwikirezi She has participated in various beauty pageants in Canada, and in 2010 she won Miss Earth Canada as well as Miss Photogenic Canada. Unfortunately, this time around, the beauty queen couldn’t be recognised. Divine Uwikirezi has been voted the ninth on the list of Rwanda’s hottest female celebrities, with 18 votes. 10. Miss Jojo Miss JoJo received the least votes. The singer and aspiring fashion designer got only 15 votes.
