Bugesera and Sunrise have booked their place in the quarter finals of the second division league after dominating Group B and A respectively at the end of the regular season.Bugesera beat bottom side Akagera 2-0 at the Rwinkwavu to consolidate their place at top of the group with 42 points after 18 rounds of matches and a place in the last eight.Camalade Banamwana’s side got the win through goals from Noel Habimana and Ayubu Sebera, who moved to 17 and 15 goals of the season respectively.Second-placed Esperance also qualified with a 3-1 win over Aspor which moved them to 38 points, while Vision stayed in third Position with 31 points after beating United Stars 2-0. Etoile de l’Est, in fourth place with 30 points, will have a chance to leapfrog Vision from third position when they take on Intare on Wednesday.In group A, Sunrise made it to the last eight with 39 points with a game in hand against Sorwathe which will be played on Wednesday in Rwamagana.They were joined in the quarterfinal by Gicumbi and Sec Academy, who beat Gasabo and Kirehe 4-2 and 6-0 respectively. Gicumbi have 38 points while Sec have 34 points. Vision J. Nouvelle at 31 points, will play their last game against Rwamagana on Wednesday. The quarter final matches are scheduled to start after the commemoration period.
