Editor,This is with reference to the story, “Biruta commends Catholic varsity”, (The New Times, March 18).Congratulations to Dr. Vincent Biruta, the Minister of Education. It is a smart idea to encourage private universities. Otherwise, it is now or never to reverse the weekend exodus of “knowledge-hungry” Rwandans on Ugandan buses. A sizeable amount of hard-earned dollars go to Ugandan universities at the expense of students who continue to remain without lecturers in these institutions.Rubayiza, Burera
