Editor, This is in response to Sam Kebongo’s commentary, “Must you have a university degree to be successful?” (The New Times, March 15).When you go to university, you get leverage. The higher the degree level, the higher the leverage is. I am talking of leverage at almost every level. How you use that leverage is a different matter. If you do not understand what leverage is, just go and talk to unschooled businessmen around here or to some politicians who found themselves forced to attend evening programmes at Kigali Independent University (ULK) or elsewhere despite holding high profile offices.John, Kigali
