Dear editor, I want to tell the concerned that the drug currently used to treat malaria is not the best alternative we have. It seems the concerned are relaxed and think all is well. It is very difficult to give a baby the tablets that are not even sugar coated. The fact that the drug is not available in a sweet liquid form (syrup) makes it extremely difficult to be used to treat a child. Let the Ministry of health and other concerned authorities give the issue the weight it deserves and save our children. Remember malaria remains one of the most dangerous diseases that continue to claim lives of the vulnerable groups in the sub-Saharan Africa. Musanze
