Auditions for this year’s Big Brother Africa reality TV show take place this weekend at the KICC, M-Net has announced.The auditions will run from Friday March 15 to Sunday March 17 before an undisclosed panel of judges.Africa’s biggest reality TV show is in its 8th season this year. Kenyan contestants who performed dismally at the beginning have been growing in stature with each season.Last year’s contestants rapper Prezzo, Malonza and Alex are well remembered even though they did not come home with the overall prize money of US$300.000(Ksh26m).Interested parties should be ready to show their TV value at the auditions, to stand a chance to be chosen to represent Kenya for the 90-day contest.Some of the qualities often underlined as a recipe for Big Brother success include being outgoing, entertaining, confident, fluent in English and in possession of a good sense of humour.Africa Magic’s Big Brother opens its doors about three months from today with contestants from 14 countries in Africa, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia.The new housemates will be revealed on May 26, 2013.
