Editor,This is in reference to the story, “Kigali City residents bemoan KCC policies”, (The New Times, March 5).Although Rwanda has been labelled an incubator where some of the best policies are tried and tested, it is important to ensure sustainability at the heart of such policies. Sustainability works well if the population and stake holders are consulted and participate in deciding them.Kevin, Lagos, Nigeria***************The City of Kigali policy on flower pots is in bad taste because it offends many people’s aesthetic sense.
