On a quiet and breezy terrace of the MTN headquarters in the hills of Nyarutarama, sits the Dolphin Seafood Restaurant and Bar. The first thing that hits you is the view. However, surrounded by a number of eateries and hang outs (which share same spectacular views), Dolphin stands out of the rest because of its unique main dish; seafood. If not mistaken, this could be only place in Kigali if not the entire country that specialises in seafood. Just as other restaurants believe in local foods, Dolphin specialised in seafood to give a wider choice to Rwandans and the tourists, Fabrice Niyongere, the manager explained on Wednesday. No need to head to a lake for some fresh fish; Dolphin offers all lake and sea food, including lobster and octopus, at relatively cheap prices. King fish, Tuna fish, Baracuda fish are fried, grilled, or boiled. There’s octopus soup and Rwanda’s favourite sambasa fish from Lake Kivu. Don’t panic though, in case you’re not in the mood for fish, chicken and beef dishes, hamburgers, chips and hot dogs are also served. And for those with a sweet tooth well decorated desserts can finish things off. Dolphin also serves breakfast in different quantities depending on the wallet size. It is either served half or full served. For those always in a hurry, dolphin offers fast foods in name it. Dolphin’s customer care is not bad. Waiters are welcoming and quick to serve. White, maroon, and black uniforms match the décor. All in all, Dolphin Seafood Restaurant is a must visit for seafood lovers. Dolphin at MTN Centre is open from 9 a.m. until mid-night. Ends
