Editor,In his opinion piece, “Debate on post 2017 Rwanda not about third term”, (The New Times, February 19), Joseph Rwagatare brings out his argument rather well. The homework indeed requires everyone to sober up and think straight as there is a lot at stake. But the guiding principle is that it should be in the interest of Rwandans, first and foremost. Foreigners should not be allowed to prescribe “poison” to us as evidenced around all major trouble spots on the continent today. We must, therefore, own all the transition process.
