National team coach Paul Bitok has named the junior team ahead of the 2013 Men’s CAVB Junior African Championship which will be held in Tunisia from February 28-March 9.The former Kenya international player, Bitok named a 17-players provisional squad. The junior team will be aiming to follow the achievement of the youth team, which secured third place in the African youth championships that ended last week in Algeria.According to the coach, the junior team will be training from Friday to Sunday every week since the majority of the players are students for the start before joining residential camp on February 10 until 24th, five days before the tournament kicks off.Bitok has promoted two players from youth team, right attacker Samuel Niyogisubizo Tyson (Groupe Scolaire de Nyakarambi) and libero Oreste Gabo Muhirwa (College Chris Roi).Provisional squad: Fred Musoni, Fabrice Nkezabahizi (centers), Aimable Mutuyimana, Barrack Rugira, Yussuf Sibomana (left attacker, all from APR, Fred Muvunyi Rufu (center), Ivan Nsabimana Mahoro (setter), Nelson Murangwa (right attacker), Yves Mutabazi(left attacker)), Emma Bonane (left attacker), Jean Claude Niyibizi (setter) and Patrick Rudakubana (right attacker) all from Groupe Scoraile de Butare, Bienvenu Biyenzi (center) and Peter Bigirimana(Libero, INATEK), Samuel Niyogisubizo (right attacker, Groupe Scolaire de Nyakarambi) and Oreste Gabo Muhirwa (College Chris Roi) and Bonnie Mutabazi (setter, NUR).
