When one thinks of Butare you think about the National Museum, the university and that’s pretty much it. What if I told you that if you love international fast food, then maybe Butare would be your best bid for a juicy hamburger and tasty pizza? You would possibly think that I was a liar. However, without any exaggeration, some of the best meals I’ve ever had in Rwanda have been courtesy of Cheers proprietor, Mr. Hassan Chakra. Mr. Chakra, a native of Lebanon, in his own words believes that “fast food can change people’s perceptions on the way food is enjoyed”.
