Keeping time is important

WHEN someone says that you are an African at keeping time, it’s because it has always been generally percieved Africans don’t keep about time. We have a lot to be proud of and we also have many things other races admire about us. But wait can anybody be proud for not keeping time? I don’t think so! It’s so shameful how teenagers have attained it as an excuse for their poor time management. For instance when one is late for a meeting, he/she comes up with this poor irritating excuse saying that you’re all aware of our African time and yes they all make fun of it and take it as a justifiable gesture.I recently had an appointment with a man from UK and the meeting was to be held at the Hotel where he stayed. The scheduled time for the meeting was 7:30pm and to be time cautious I reached the venue 30mins earlier so that I don’t confirm the misconceptions associated with Africans not keeping time. When he found me seated at our meeting venue at exactly 7:30pm he was amused. My Dear teenagers keeping time is very influential, it doesn’t necessary mean you have to be there before time but surely it’s better than not being there on time. Keeping time is all about changing your mentality and getting rid of the misconceptions, we must honor what we do, who we’re and learn to keep time.Whether in academics, business or any field that requires time keeping, believe me the more you keep time the more you will learn how to manage it effectively and remember time keeping and management are the best keys to success.Good luck!!
