PRIMUS National Football League side Isonga Football Club have released four players deemed surplus to requirements, club Secretary General Sandra Muhimpundu has told Times Sport.According to Muhimpundu, the players that have been realised with immediate effect include; Filston Buzizi, Cedric Iratuzi, Innocent Gafishi and Fidele Habinshuti.The club, which forms the core part of the U-17 national team, has started the process to find new players from local academies and talent detection centres to replace to the quartet. Isonga finished in the top six last season in its debut season in the top flight division but is struggling to repeat last year’s impressive form after selling almost half the squad to rival teams before the start of the current campaign.“The coaches have made the assessment on the players and concluded that they are not developing thus the need to release them and look for other talented players,” Muhimpundu said.Isonga sold eight players, including U-20 skipper Emery Bayisenge, Héritier Turatsinze, François Hakizimana, Michel Rusheshangoga, Eric Nsabimana, Isaac Muganza, Jacques Cyubahiro and Farouk Saifi Ruhinda to league champions APR. Goalkeeper Marcel Nzarora and centre back Faustin Usengimana joined Rayon Sport, while striker Hamidu Ndayisaba signed for AS Kigali.
