Abdul Kazungu, 21, was last Friday handed over the keys to the car he won in the running promotion dubbed “Sharama2” by MTN Rwanda.The event that took place at the MTN customer care centre that saw four clients walking away with LG flat screen televisions, four won Rwf 500,000 which they received by check, 28 others won Rwf 100,000 which they got through Mobile Money.Kazungu was the second winner of the car since MTN re-launched second Sharama in November.Kazungu said that, he could not believe his luck when he was called on phone and told that he was the proud winner of the car, even more so during the festive season.“Being a person with no permanent job, it was good that the effort I put in paid off. I sacrificed even the little money I had to participate in the draw…I thank God I have achieved my dream of owning a car,” Kazungu said shortly after being handed the keys.This is the second time for Kazungu, a resident of Kicukiro to win; he first won Rwf500,000 when the second Sharama had just started.“The money I won I used it to push more in the draw and that’s earned me a lot of points that put in the draw for the biggest prize which is the car.He encouraged people to join, saying that the more one participates, the bigger are the chances of winning.To enter the draw, one is required to use an MTN line to send a text message to 155. The more entries one sends, the higher the chances of becoming a winner. Each message costs Rwf 35.The telecommunication giant has staked four cars to be won during the course of the draw. The car was handed over to him by the Khaled Mikkawi the CEO of MTN Rwanda.
